Lord Kapiladeva is One of the Twelve Mahājana Authorities
The path of spiritual realization is most safely traveled by following the instructions of the Mahājanas, the twelve authorized agents of the Supreme Lord. Among these personalities, Lord Kapiladeva occupies a unique position, for He is the Supreme Personality of Godhead Himself. Descending as the son of Kardama Muni and Devahūti, He established the Sāṅkhya philosophy and the authorized system of yoga. Because He is the highest authority, His words are not subject to the defects of human perception or mental speculation.
