Some characteristics of Bhagavan as stated in the scriptures are that He is the origin of this cosmic manifestation, He possesses 6 opulences, and that He has multitudes of forms which He can display at any time He likes. Anybody else who claims to be Bhagavan is a fraud, because there can be only one Bhagavan, i.e. Sri Krishna.
